Located in an historic building famous for hosting artists, Orania.Berlin dates back to 1913 and features a cultural as well as historical legacy. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we felt we were really being taken care of. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. All the extra little touches made it an outstanding place to stay. The bar/restaurant area was really tastefully decorated and atmospheric and we also enjoyed the live music on certain evenings. The location is fantastic - within easy reach of three different U-bahn stations and several bus lines stopping in the Oranienplatz (we booked the Berlin Welcome Card which was excellent, although we did enjoy walking to many places as well). There are loads of fun bars and restaurants all within walking distance - with many different types of cuisine on offer. And even going a bit further afield to, say, Friederichshain is only 15 minutes away. This was not our first time in Berlin, but it was our first time in Kreuzberg and we can confidently say we are already looking forward to our next stay!

The location was perfect and the rooms so good, it was a great stay. The hotel gives you free coffe and tea and also water, which was really good as we were working at strange hours, so we could always have a coffe.

Hotel the YARD is set in the vibrant Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district of Berlin, a 15-minute walk from Checkpoint Charlie. Room was great- V clean, well laid out and very comfortable bed. Location was ideal for us.
